Martha-Renee Kolleh

Martha-Renée Kolleh got so tired of whites walking into her cafe and leaving when they realize she is the Black owner of Yeanon Cafe, she decided to warn the bigots of Ossett, West Yorkshire, in Britain with the following sign: “I am a black woman… If you are allergic to Black people, don’t come in,” reports the BBC.

Kolleh, who has three children and has owned the cafe for two years, told the BBC: "I hired a white woman called Tracey. When Tracey is in the cafe she does well and people will come in and it will be full, once I stay in the background.

"But if Tracey is not working and I'm working nobody comes in."

Kolleh's Cafe serves both her native Afro-Caribbean food and traditional English fare. But business has been difficult. She told The Independent newspaper that if business does not improve she will have to close the cafe in a few months.

Kolleh has received hundreds of supportive messages from around the world on her Facebook page. She says the reaction to her sign is mixed.

Some people find the sign amusing and say it's about time she put it up, so she thinks they all know what has been going on.
